The Royal Mayfair Golf Club is looking for a year-round, Second Assistant to join their Turf Care management team. The candidate will work in close coordination with the Superintendent and Sr. Assistant Superintendent in the day-to-day operation of the golf course. Although a variety of experience is an asset and beneficial to the position, our primary focus in hiring, is heavily designed around an individual’s attitude, ability to effectively communicate, and his/her ability to lead a team. We are seeking an experienced Golf Course Maintenance Superintendent with a successful track record of achieving exceptional course conditions and the ability to maintain and optimize budget constrains. The successful candidate will be required to collaborate with stakeholders in constructing a long-term plan for the club that encompasses its vision, the ability to execute the plan with an exceptional attention to detail to ensure course conditions are world class, and a hands-on work ethic to lead their team.
The Golf Course Maintenance Superintendent will report to a Vice-President, the ownership group, and other stakeholders, as needed or required.
Its expected that the Golf Course Maintenance Superintendent will be actively engaged on the golf course during the golf season; monitoring course activities, proactively identifying and addressing issues before they arise, resolving deficiencies and/or completing improvements as needed.

We are currently looking for a person who has a valid pesticide licence for Alberta, and is familiar with the Toro Lynx irragation program. The ideal candidate would have experience as an assistant or a crew lead hand. Mechanical experience and knowledge is a plus.
