- Assist the management team in any and all aspects of golf course maintenance
- Help supervise, organize, and lead staff while promoting a safe, positive, and cooperative work environment
- Setting a positive example for other staff members in attitude, appearance, and work ethic
- Training staff, monitoring performance, and documenting results
- Anticipating and recognizing problems and devising solutions
- Participate in the execution of the courses’ fertility and IPM programs
- Performing a wide variety of tasks dictated by the needs of the club as well as your interests
- Completion of or currently enrolled in a postsecondary Turfgrass Management program.
- Proven ability as a leader on a positive, progressive, goal-oriented team
- A strong desire to continually improve the courses and the grounds department’s practices
- Knowledge of turf management practices and products and the drive to continue learning more.
- Possession of a valid pesticide applicator's license or the ability to obtain one is an asset.
- A positive attitude, desire to learn, and love of the outdoors.
- Previous golf course maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of the rules and game of golf and a genuine enjoyment of the game
- Must be legally able to work in Canada.
