The Lethbridge Country Club was established in 1913 and is an 18 hole private Golf Course in Southern Alberta. The Golf Course is situated in the Oldman River valley within the limits of the City of Lethbridge.
The Lethbridge Country Club is now accepting applications for the position of Assistant Superintendent. The Assistant Superintendent is a full time , year round position that offers a competitive compensation package. The Assistant Superintendent in conjunction with the Superintendent will be responsible for hiring, training, daily scheduling and supervision of the Turf Maintenance Team. The Assistant Superintendent shall also support the daily operations.
Report daily to the Golf Course Superintendent on golf course conditioning, operations and management.
Assist in hiring, training and supervision of the Turf Maintenance Team.
Supervise and participate in all areas of daily operations, turf maintenance programs and property management.
Ensures accurate record keeping of the nutrient and pest control applications, IPM programs and irrigation schedules.
Participate in planning, strategies, and prioritizing of future maintenance and capital development.
Promotes awareness in the workplace to create a safe working environment.
Minimum 3-5 years experience in golf/turf management. With a sound understanding of agronomics and how to apply those concepts to the Golf Course.
A diploma or degree in Turf Management.
Must have a valid Alberta Pesticide Application Certificate or the willingness to procure one. Experience in product application is preferable.
Experience in the operation and maintenance of an automatic irrigation system.
Good supervisory and strong communication skills to mentor and motivate staff, connect with the Club's various departments and membership.
Valid Alberta Drivers License.
