• Assist in planning and supervising the maintenance of greens, tees and fairways; schedules work; and supervises the employees and the use of the equipment.
• Assist in the application of fertilizers and pesticides on the course as needed.
• Instructs equipment operators on the operation and care of mowing and other equipment; supervises pesticide applications and/or operates and calibrates pesticide application equipment; and supervises and participates in the operation of maintenance pumps, and in the maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems.
• Assists in personnel management and evaluation, employee safety and personnel discipline.
• Assist with Irrigation operation and analysis of total irrigation system function.
• Consult and work with the entire golf operations team to achieve the highest results possible for the golfers.
• Assist in local, provincial and federal compliance with all applicable regulations.

• A minimum of 3 years experience in the golf course maintenance industry.
• A 2 or 4 year degree in agronomy or similar science with an emphasis on turf grass management would be an asset.
• Current pesticide applicator license would be an asset.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to lift up to 80 lbs, bending, twisting, walking.
• Ability to uphold a safe and respectful work environment for self and others.
• Flexible an adaptable.
• Ability to work Monday-Friday and weekend and holiday rotations as required.
• Able to perform a heavy physical labor outside in all types of weather.
